Description:This series of "old house"reflects the scene when I was in the countryside sketching. As economic is developing and city is expanding, some simple and nice things of countryside are disappearing unconsciously, just like the"old house". It is becoming a history and a memory, this is the reason why I wanted to draw it and stop it from being dying scenery.
Artist introduction:
Yiyang Lin, male, was born in Zhangpu County in Fujian in 1969. He graduated from Fujian Shanming Junior College in 1994 and now is a member of Zhangzhou Artist Association. During his nearly 20 years’art career, he obtained many awards in provincial and national exhibitions.
In May,2002, the work "The Rest" was elected into "Commemoration for 60th Anniversary of Speech of Comrade MaoZedong in Yanan Conversazione" held by Chinese Association of Fine Artists ;
In August,2004, the work "The Tidal Wave of Yearning" is included on the exhibition on "Fujian Art,Calligraphy and Photography Exhibition for 100th Anniversary of DengXiaoping" held by Fujian Artist Association . It was also exhibited on "First Art, Calligraphy and photography Exhibition of ’Local Tax Cup’of Zhangzhou" and compiled into an art book;
In February,2005, his work "Summer Smile" was awarded the first prize in "Zhangzhou First Teacher and Student Art Exhibition for Welcome of Spring Festival ".
