Xiaoli Dong is male with a pen name Yanshi. He is a member of China Industry Designing Association and member of Song Zhuang Artist Salon. In 1973, he was born in Houma city of Shanxi province. He started to paint since he was a child and then studied in China Central Academy of Craftwork Art. Since 1995, he created Flying Atelier and Nine-color Deer Art Training School.
In 2000, he created Beijing Huoshi Painting House. He managed the training school and at the same time he created oil paintings. His works focus on contemporary and present station of contemporary art, have strong individual style and painting languages. Several of his works were collected by private person. Now he lives in Song Zhuang of Beijing and works in creating.
On 4th May of 2008, he took part in THE 1ST Song Zhuang Youth Art Exhibition (in Origin Creation Exposition Center).
On 18th May of 2008, he took part in Song Zhuang Artist Works Sale Exhibition for defending the earthquake.
In July of 2008, his work CHINA CONTEMPORARY ART AND COORDINATE SERIES was published on New Vision.
Om August of 2008, he took part in Live in Song Zhuang---Artist United Exhibition in Song Zhuang Art Gallery.
