Liyan Tian is female. She graduated from the oil painting specialty of art department in Hebei Normal University in July 1986. From September 2000 to July 2001, she entered the research class of oil painting department in Tianjin Art Academy (majoring in Contemporary oil painting art). Now she is the adjunct professor of the art academy in Tianjin Industrial University.
1993   Her work took part in Processing China Oil Painting Exhibition in Beijing Art Gallery.
1994   Her work EARLY SUMMER took part in National Art Exhibition Aquarelle Brach in Beijing Art Gallery.
1995   She took part in the 3rd National Opaque Watercolour/Aquarelle Exhibition; her VASE was selected and published.
1996   Her work VASE took part in the 3rd National Opaque Watercolour Exhibition (National Circling Exhibition).
1998   Her work NO WORDS took part in China Competitive Oil Painting Exhibition (in HK).
1999   Her works took part in the 9th National Art Exhibition in Shanghai.
1999   Her work YEARS, CHINA was selected to Lu Art Cup held by Luxun Art Academy.
2000   She took part in Beijing 3 Females Art Exhibition.
2000   In September, her work CLOTH DOLL was selected to Hebei Opaque Watercolour Exhibition and won the Second Award.
2001   She took part in the Research Class Exhibition of Tianjin Art Academy in Tianjin.
2001   The 5th term of China Oil painting published and commented her work PORTRAIT 2001.
2002   Her work OLD WALL was selected to Hebei All Stars’ Art Works Exhibition and won the 3rd Award.
2002   In July, she held personal exhibition in Qinchuang Island Jinyuan Gallery and Beidai River Art Gallery (100 pieces of her works).
2003   In December, she held personal exhibition in Tanshan Science and Technology Hall with 110 of her works.
2006   The 4th term of Art Observation published her WOMAN BODY and MOTHER. In recent years, parts of her works were collected by art organizations and private persons from Canada, HK, Singapore and China.
