Shengli Yu was born in Hubei province in 1968. He has a master’s degree. Now he works in the Art Academy of Jingchu Institute of Science and Technology. He is the director of sculpt department and vice professor. He is a member of Hubei Artists Association, director of the art designing specialty committee of Hubei High School Education Committee. He graduated from the art education specialty of Hubei Art Academy in 1994. Since 1994, he works in Jingchu Institute of Science and Technology. In 2004, he graduated from the oil painting specialty in China Central Art Academy following the famous painters Gaoli Su, Yibo Zhang and Wei Weng. He held the graduating exhibition in China Art Gallery and in the same year, he held the five people’s painting exhibition in Yanhuang Art Gallery.
In July of 2005, his oil painting CHARM OF ANCIENT won the Excellent Award of the 2nd Teachers and Students Works Exhibition of High School in Hubei province which held in Hubei education hall.
In July of 2005, his oil painting THE RED RIBAND won the Selected Award of the 2nd Teachers and Students Works Exhibition of High School in Hubei province which held in Hubei education hall.
In January of 2007, his oil painting TREASURE OF MOUNTAINwon the bronze Award of the 1st Double-year Exhibition of Art, Painting and Calligraphy Works in Jingmen city.
