Yitao Zhai was born in Weinan of Shanxi province in 1982. He graduated from Shanxi Art Normal School in 2001 and in 2007 he graduated from Xi’an Art Academy. Now he lives and works in Xi’an mainly on the creation of shelf drawing art.

2004   He joined the Personal Works Exhibition of Shanbei Scenery Sketch in Xi’an.
2004   He took part in the Shanxi 2nd Youth Art Exhibition in Xi’an.
2005   He joined the Oil Painting Exhibition---Image in Xi’an.
2006   He joined the National Small-breadth Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition---Scenery and Custom in Beijing.
2007   He joined the 2007 Shanghai Youth Art Exhibition---Start from Here in Shanghai. Landscape works THE CAVE, MOUNTAIN SHAPE II and MOUNTAIN SHAPE III were edited to the large-scale books of sketch works.
His work SOMEDAY won the First Creating Award of Xi’an Art Academy.
