Hongfu Cheng is China famous painter, professor of Art Department in Shandong Heze Institute, director of staff room of Chinese painting, member of China Art Association and the high-grade painting master in Shandong Art Academy. In 1989, he once went to Zhongnanhai to paint under the invitation of the State Department. His huge work PICTURE OF EVERGREEN was collected by the State Department.
1991  His work MOTHER. SON. MOON was exhibited in the first national Modern Chinese Landscape Exhibition, PICTURE OF PLUM AND SPARROW was selected to the 6th national Modern Chinese Flower-birds Painting Exhibition.
1993  His work THE NIGHT was selected to the 2nd national Modern Chinese Landscape Exhibition.
1995  His work CHILDREN OF THE MOUNTAINS took part in the Inviting Exhibition for the Modern Chinese Famous Landscape Painters. <Hongfu Cheng’s Landscapes> and the poetry anthology <Traveling Diary> were published. 
1997  His work THE DAWN won the Excellent Award of the 3rd national Modern Chinese Landscape Exhibition. <Hongfu Cheng’s Landscape Sketch Volume> was published. On 9 March, the program <Book Center and Painting Center> of CCTV 1 took <Landscape Painter Hongfu Cheng> as the topic. Afterwards, CCTV 2, 4 and 8 broadcasted for several times.
1998  His work LONG YELLOW EARTH won the Bronze Award of the “Zhongheng Cup” National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition held by China Art Association. He was appraised to be a professor. 
1999  His work DAY BREAK won the Excellent Award on the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for      Celebrating the 50 years of PRC.
2000  His work THE YELLOW SPIRIT was selected to the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition---Century. Chinese Customs held by China Art Association. DEEP OF TAIHANG won the Honored Award of national 4th Modern Chinese Landscape Exhibition.
2002  His work THE MOUNTAIN SPIRIT took part in the Nominating Exhibition of National Chinese Traditional Painting---<Refulgence of the West> held by the China Art Association.
2003  His work REMOTE EARTH WOODS was selected to the Art Calligraphy Exhibition of the 7th Minority Traditional Sports Meeting.THICK EARTH won the Bronze Award of the National Chinese Traditional Painting Exhibition---The Tide Cup held by China Art Association.
