Dong Wang, male, born in Xian, Shanxi in 1966, graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts IN 1990. Now he is member of China Painting and Calligraphy Association, creator of China Painting and Calligraphy Artist Creation Centre, member of Youren Yu Calligraphy Association of Shanxi, researcher of Shanxi Ancient City Culture Art Research Seminar, director of Shanxi Painting and Calligraphy Art Seminar, advanced fine art teacher.
He engaged in fine art education, creation, and study work of traditional Chinese painting for long time. He explored Chinese flower and bird painting with great concentration, especially loved plum, pursuing organic combination of traditional time individuality and Chinese and Western culture.
He won the Golden Award in the 4th China Painting and Calligraphy Art Huabiao Film Awards in 2005, the Silver Award in National Painting and Calligraphy Match Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Long March’s Success, the 1st Award in Painting and Calligraphy Match Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Victory of the War of Resistance against Japan, the Excellent Award in 2006 Harmonious China National Painting and Calligraphy Match, the Silver Award in the 2nd Plum Orchid Bamboo and Chrysanthemum National Painting and Calligraphy Match, the Silver Award in the Yuzizhou Cup National Painting and Calligraphy Match Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Mao Zedong’s Death, the Golden Award in the 2nd the Tang Dynasty Poems, the Song Dynasty Songs and the Yuan Dynasty Music National Painting and Calligraphy Match in 2007, the Golden Award in Yanhuang Cup Chinese At Home and Abroad Painting and Calligraphy Invitation Exhibition in Jan 2008. 
His works were edited into China Modern Painting and Calligraphy as well as Seal Cutting Blue Book, Yearning Qigong and other painting and calligraphy works collection, Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Famous Artist Collector's Collection, Red Sutra Painting and Calligraphy Graceful Collection and other painting collections, and were collected by main holding unites.
