Kuanyi Tang, pen name Spring Stone, born in Shenyang, Liaoning in 1957, graduated Fine Art Major of Liaoning Art Normal School in 1981, graduated from Fine Art Department of Normal College of Shenyang University in 1986. Now he is member of Liaoning Artists’ Association, vice secretary-general of Northeast Painting Gallery, teaching in Shenyang Agriculture University. In 2007, He was engaged in Zhixue Yu Ice and Snow Landscape Painting Studio of China Art Academe Graduate Students’ College. He learned flower and bird as well as landscape from Mr. Chengxi Li at early years, and copied many flower and bird as well as landscape paintings of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty, accumulating deep traditional skill base. During less then 20 years, he continued to go deep into live and imitate the nature in his summer and winter holidays and free time after finishing teaching. He went out to sketch at his own expenses and his traveling print spread all over the famous mountains and rives in north, barren mountain and wield, he searched unique verve of northern mountain and rives, collected a lot of creation materials and created many landscape as well as flower and bird paintings. Part of his works and comic strips as well calligraphy and carving could be seen in kinds of professional, nonprofessional magazine and newspaper. His works were introduced by many medias and invited to attend exhibition and won awards. About his 100 painting of northeast ice and snowy mountain and river style were collected by friends at home and abroad. He was called Northern Bardian Snowy and Windy Painting Painter.
