Jingtian Lei, male, born in 1961, from Jiayu Town, Hubei. He was praised the excellent student of China Calligraphy Training Centre, and now he is member of Hubei Calligraphers' Association, member of Hubei Calligraphy Research Centre, vice-secretary-general of Xianning Calligraphers' Association. He reveled in calligraphy as childhood, and he copied and studied Gongquan Liu and Xun Ouyang's Regular Script , Wuliang Xie's Fame as well as Xizhi Wang's Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion and Divine Religion Preface to the Poems, studied You Zhong's cursive hand Dispatch Troops Ode and Huaisu's cursive Thousand Words Writing and other fame and cursive in Tang Dynasty. He deeply studied the ancients' skill, when he copied the ancients' works; he did his best to achieve Spirit Alike. That is, it constitutes a natural Shape Alike on the base of understanding the ancient works' spirit essential. At the same time, Mr. Lei was brave in exploration, innovation. He formed his own ancient and elegance unique calligraphy style in the terms of combination of traditional and popular style, the combination of stele and post, as well as the calligraphy artistic conception's pursing. His calligraphic works won the 3rd Award in the  "Chinese calligraphy Training Centre Teaching Results Exhibition, won the  1st Award in the National Qingjiang Cup Calligraphy Competition , were chosen into the national or provincial-level calligraphy exhibition times. "Calligraphy News" and the "Hubei Daily,” "Xianning Daily", "South of Hubei Evening News" and other newspapers have made his special presentations.
