Guanliang Bi, courtesy name Hantang, born in Beijing in June 6th 1964. Early or late he graduated from China Renmin University, Creation Research Course of Traditional Chinese Painting Seminar and Advanced Research Course of China State Painting Academy.
1986  He entered China Calligraphy and Painting Seminar Beijing and at the same year his calligraphy and painting works were displayed in National Art Museum of China.
1989  He entered Beijing Calligraphers’ Association and participated in the exhibitions held by the association for many times.
1990  He began to publish essays and poems on professional publications, and at the same time he donated his calligraphy and painting works for the Asian Games, and won the Silver Prize of Youth in Asian Games.
October 1991  He was invited by the USSR Chinese Culture Exchange Meeting and went to take part in culture exchange in Moscow.
1995-1997
He traveled in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong and Guangxi for sketch, and held a sketch exhibition.
In April, his biography was recorded into China Blue Book of Famous Contemporary Literature Artists.
December 1996  His traditional Chinese painting work was displayed in National Art Museum of China.
1997  He was invited by the China Chamber of Commerce Australia for Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in Sydney.
August 2002  He participated in International China Calligraphy and Painting Seminar (Culture Administration) and was employed as researcher as well.
2003
He entered China Democratic National Construction Association and was appointed as commissioner of Culture Committee Beijing of China Democratic National Construction Association. At the same year, he was invited to serve as specially arranged Emcee and copywriter of Reg Flag Pic of Qiushi Journal of Central Committee of CCP.
In July, he was reported by CCTV.
2004
He drove himself for half a year to Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui to collect themes for sketch, accumulating rich materials for the future creation of landscape painting. At the same year, he donated his elaborately created works to the Care for AIDS Orphan Commonweal Activity and received high appraise from state leaders such as Peng Yun, etc.
September 2005 to July 2006  He studied in Creation Research Course of Traditional Chinese Painting Seminar and his traditional painting works were displayed in Exhibition Museum of Traditional Chinese Painting Seminar. And at the same time he participated the exhibition held by China Artists’ Association in China State Museum as a specially invited artist.
In December, his works were collected by Central Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association.
2006
In July, he participated in National Calligraphy and Painting Invitation Exhibition Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of Long-march and the work was collected.
In September, he entered Tutor Committee of Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting and Du Dakai Studio, doctor tutor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tsinghua University.
2007
In July, his traditional painting works were displayed in Exhibition Museum of Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting and one of the works was collected.
In February, he participated in Memory of Beijing Exhibition of Famous Calligraphy and Painting Artists and the work was collected by Laoshe Literature Foundation.
In September, his work participated in Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition For the Coming Olympics of United Front Work Department and the work was collected.
2008
In January, his traditional Chinese painting and thesis were published on Fine Arts newspaper and his was invited to the 6th Peony Cup Nomination Exhibition of Famous Traditional Chinese Painting Artists.
In March, he was selected as cover figure of United Chamber of Commerce of Express VIP of China and Abroad Hotel Club.
