Ping an Xiang, male, born in 1975, from Xuancheng, Anhui Province, courtesy name Host of Jingting House or Ink Lovers. He was influenced by landscape school of south Anhui since young and loves calligraphy and painting art very much, He has studied works of famous artist in Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty. He never stops learning and practising, especially the landscape paintings. In 1994, he studied further in department of fine arts in Anhui Normal University and in 1997, he learned after Huang Yinghai, professional painter at Nanjing Calligraphy and Painting Academy. After years of hard practice and nonstop pursuing, he realizes the essence of landscape gradually.
Afterwards, he studied painting techniques of peony into deep, which was up to a level of craziness. After years of nonstop practices in painting, he showed the charm of peonies by his brushes, after which he knows that he has to sail in the sea of life and art. Despite of any hardship, frustration and failure, he never stops pursuing, because he know profoundly in his mind that to be a real artist, one should pay equal emphasis on painting and thesis, personality and art, and have his own style.
