Feipeng Zhu, pen name Qingshi, doctor degree, member of Beijing Artists’ Association. He comes from herbalist doctor family, and his father is good at painting and has ever learnt from Baishi Qi. He himself studies calligraphy and painting since young, then gained both medicine and fine arts degrees. He learns from Ruijie Xie and Jiaan He, and receives guidance from famous artists many times. He majors in freehand flower and bird painting, but is also good at landscape, seal carving and photography.
    Earlier he succeeded to his family style and his painting style began from Qi school and learnt much from style of many famous painters such as Baishi Qi, Kuchan Li, etc. Afterwards his style was going to style of Qing Dynasty and then Ming Dynasty, during which he studied further the works of Cangshuo Wu, Bonian Ren, Xugu, Eight Famous Calligraphy and Painting Artists of Tang and Song Dynasty, Zhou Shen, Ziming Wen, etc. After that his style was going to style of Song and Yuan Dynasty, pursuing the combination of traditional conception and modern aesthetics views and trying to show the inner character of the objects through modern language, to show the profound connotation of "Brushes should go with the times". At the same time, he pays great emphasis on upgrading his self-cultivation beside painting and pursues a literate taste in painting. He has ever organized and participated in many times exhibitions of calligraphy, painting, seal carving and photography. He participated in Calligraphy and Painting Charity Auction Helping the poor and Financial Aid to Students organized by Shanghai Education Committee and The Communist Youth League Shanghai Committee. He participated in the Calligraphy and Painting Circuit Exhibition in Colleges Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Foundation of PRC. He participated in 99’ National Art Exhibition of College Students, held by State Propaganda Department, Education Department, Central Communist Youth League, Beijing Government, etc, and his work won the Third Prize. He participated in the 4th Henan Art New Talent New Work Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition and won the Excellence Award. He won the First Prize of painting and the Third Prize of seal carving in the 6th Art Festival of College Student, etc.
