Zhonglin Wang, male, Mongolia nationality, born in Ancient Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1970. In 1995, he graduated from oil painting specialty of department of fine arts in Inner Mongolia Normal University. Now he works as director of Painting Staff Room in department of fine arts in Chifeng Academy, and he is member of Inner Mongolia Branch of China Artists’ Association. He works at oil painting teaching and creating, and his works mostly show the residence, sandlot, hills, etc in middle area of Inner Mongolia. Most of his oil paintings were collected by collectors in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shandong, etc.

July 1995  His large-scale oil painting work Love and Belief was appraised as excellent graduation work and was collected by Display Museum of Inner Mongolia Normal University.
October 1998  Five of his oil painting works including Hill Area were selected for Presence of Times-Inner Mongolia Nature Painting Exhibition.
June 1999  His oil painting Christmas flower was edited into large-scale painting volume Artworks Collection of China Excellent Artists in the charge of China Art Academe, etc together.
November 2001  His oil painting Field series participated in Inner Mongolia Youth Exhibition held by Inner Mongolia Artists’ Association.
May 2002  His oil painting Quiet Village entered National Artworks Exhibition Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Lecture held by China Artists’ Association.
September 2005  15 of his oil painting works including The Way to Sheep Farm were sent to exhibit in State-run Art Museum, Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
May 2006  He particiapted in Discover-Unnamed Group Exhibition with other two artists including Meng Xinyu, held in Yidun Gallery of 798 Art Community, Beijing. And 13 of his works were collected by the gallery.

Painter from Chifeng, south of Great Wall, Zhonglin Wang is established in local features and is fond of landscape scenery and cultural source of his hometown. Chifeng is cradleland of Hongshan culture as well as the location of Liaoshangjing, which has profound cultural background. His landscape paintings bring us to a modest, peaceful and remote world, a world where you can not only feel the particular Mongolia plateau features in vision but also  breathe the purity of the ancient. For the urbanite living in turbid and noisy cement forest, paintings of Wang Zhonglin are undoubtedly a Pure Land.

First of all, the colors of oil paintings of Zhonglin Wang are steady and simple, from which we can know that the painter has gone through years of professional training. I like academism works and I like his too. Nowadays many people are beginning to hate talking about the word ACADEMISM, but in my opinion, anything without groundwork is as empty and vain mirage, never lasting for long. Academism has its own advantage that it helps every learner here avoid more needless course. It’s not saying that academism hasn’t got its own characteristics, such as paintings of Wang Zhonglin which have its own painting language and something of his own. I always believe that all works with own features and inheritances are all good ones.
Next, paintings of Wang have got a state where memory of space, solidification of time and materialization of thoughts exist. I love the interlacement of dream and reality in the paintings. Whatever landscape or scenery in his paintings bring sudden feeling to me. As soon as a painting of a painter has spiritual language and communicates it to the viewer, then his work is a successful work.
Surely, works of painter Zhonglin Wang is never part of some current popular trend, let alone to emphasize in large-scale or visual impact, or to show upset thoughts and moods. What his advantage is that his works represent peaceful pattern and the spiritual world in his works is clear water in the current noisy city environment.
