Shizhong Li, male, born in Jilin Province in 1952. He’s now member of Gansu Artists’ Association. He loves painting since young, and visits his teachers and friends in spare time. He began with sketch painting and never stops painting. He is good at landscape and painting of flower and birds, and his works participated in and won awards many times in exhibitions of province and city, and national calligraphy and painting contests. More than 10 of his works were published in periodicals of province and city such as Gansu Daily, Lanzhou Evening News, etc. His works have features of northwest of China, and the brushes are thick, paying great attention to expressing language of painting as well as endowing with more modern features.
May 2005  His traditional Chinese painting work House in Mountain participated in Creation Cup Calligraphy and Painting Contest At Home And Abroad and won the Second Prize. His work has been collected into and published in Quintessence of Calligraphy and Painting Talents of China.
July 2005  His traditional Chinese painting work Deep in Clouds participated in the 1st Gansu Freehand Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition, held by Gansu Artists’ Association and Taditional Chinese Painting Art Committee.
August 2005  His traditional Chinese painting work Plum Blossom participated in the 1st Affection for Traditional Chinese Painting and Calligraphy--National Exchange Exhibition of Famous Calligraphy and Painting Artists, and won the Bronze Prize. At the same time, he was conferred with honorable title of Chinese Contemporary Artist of Literature, Calligraphy and Painting.
September 2005  His traditional Chinese painting work Landscape participated in Golden Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and won the Bronze Prize.
October 2005
His traditional Chinese painting work Landscape Painting participated in Tycoon Cup Online Calligraphy and Painting Contest and won the Bronze Prize in fine arts group.
His traditional Chinese painting work House in Foot of Hill participated in Amorous West Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition Celebrating the 56th Anniversary of the Foundation of PRC, hosted by Gansu Culture Office, Gansu Culture Union and Gansu Artists’ Association.
