Ruochen Wu, male, graduated from specialty of painting with combined materials of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. He studied after Beiping Guo, professor and famous painter and attained bachelor degree. In 2004, he entered Chongqing University and studied in Art Academy for master degree of oil painting specialty, studying after Xiaohua Gao, professor and famous oil painting artist. In June 2007, he stayed and teached in school after graduating from Art Academy of Chongqing University.
Awards:
1999  His oil painting work Fish entered Works Annual of National Advanced Academies of Fine Arts.
2001  His work Lasting entered National Invitation Exhibition of Painting With Combined Materials (conferred by China Artists’ Association).
2004  His work Couplet entered the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of Chongqing University and it was taken as a gift for leaders of school.
May 2005  His watercolor work No Title participated in the 3rd Chongqing Watercolor and Gouache Exhibition (conferred by Chongqing Artists’ Association).
June 2005  He took part in designing of half scene painting in Huge Bomb of Chongqing--large-scale art scenery of Chongqing China Three-gorges Museum, a state longitudinal scientific research program (conferred by China Three-gorges Museum).
September 2005  His oil painting work Surging participated in Sino-Korean Exchange Exhibition of Fine Arts Works and won the Excellence Award (conferred by Chongqing Artists’ Association).
April 2006  His oil painting work Winter Snow in Hometown participated in Revelry of Thoughts-Shanghai Works Exhibition of New Talents and won the Second Prize (conferred by Shanghai Artists’ Association).
July 2006  His calligraphy work Poems of Mao Zedong participated in National Calligraphy Exhibition Celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the Foundation of PLA (conferred by China Calligraphers’ Association).
December 2006  His academic thesis Build Concept of Great Fine Arts and Bring Up Comprehensive Art Talents was published on periodical Social Scientific Research of Sichuan Academy of Social Science.
May 2007  His oil painting work Sleep in Snow entered the 1st Chongqing Art Exhibition of Graduate Students Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Foundation of Chongqing Municipality Directly Under the Central Government (Chongqing Artists’ Association).
December 2007  His propylene painting Remaining Sunshine participated in the 4th Chongqing Watercolor and Gouache and won the Excellence Prize (Chongqing Artists’ Association).
