Mingli Zhou, male, born in Xiangyang, Hubei Province in March 1968. Learning after famous painter Shi Chong, he graduated from oil painting specialty Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, bachelor degree. He’s ever studied traditional Chinese painting in Central Academy of Fine Arts after many famous traditional Chinese painting artists including Huang Jun and Guo Yizong. Member of Xiangfan Artists’ Association, chairman of China Xiangfan Youth Vision Art Academe. He won many honorable titles, including 21th Century Excellent Artist nominated by Jiangsu Painting Print, one of the 2007 China Top-10 People of Calligraphy and Painting Nominated Annually by China Calligraphy and Panting, etc. His painting works were published on many newspapers and magazines such as Fine Arts newspaper, China Calligraphy and Painting, Xiangyang Daily, Xiangyang Evening, Charm of Xiangyang, China Collection, China Education of Fine Arts. His works have been recorded into many great dictionaries and large-scale painting volumes, including Contemporary Painting Art, China Contemporary Master, China Contemporary Oil Painting and Watercolor Art, Jingchu Art, etc. In 2007, his individual painting volume the 21th Century Excellent Artist-Zhou Mingli Nominated by Painting Print was published. Many of his works participated many times in calligraphy and painting contests at home and abroad, and won awards or were collected.
