Ming Zhou, born in October 1958. His house is named Dushu Hall. He’s now director of China Artists’ Association, member of Henan Artists’ Association, member of Henan Artists’ Association of Traditional Chinese Painting, member of China Calligraphers’ Association, member of Calligraphy and Painting Art Exchange Center of China Culture Union, member of China Calligraphy and Painting Research, level-one painter of Oriental State Gallery, academician of Hanmo Gallery.

He loves calligraphy and painting since young, and participated many study courses, including Beijing Branch of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University, Henan Calligraphy Correspondence Institute, Landscape Creation Course organized by Calligraphy and Painting Art Center of China Culture Union, graduate course in Training Center of China Artists’ Association, Advanced Graduate Course of Traditional Chinese Painting. He has worked at kinds of works such as industrial arts design, stage arts, decoration and upholstery design, planning of city gardens and so on. These years, he makes great progress both in calligraphy and painting. Many of his works were selected for and won awards many times in calligraphy and painting contests and exhibitions at levels of the state, province, city. His work was published on Long Scroll of Chinese Artists in 2000 Years and won golden prize. His work won second prize in China Selected Contest of Poem, Calligraphy and Painting. His work won third prize in 2000 Popularization Exhibition held by Calligraphy and Painting Art Exchange Center of China Culture Union. His work was selected for China Construction Calligraphy and Painting Selected Exhibition and was displayed in China Art Museum. His work was selected for the 1st and the 3rd Henan Landscape Exhibition. His work won Innovation Award in the 4th and the 5th National Contemporary Landscape Exhibition. His work won award of honor in the 4th Prince Cup Cross-straits Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and he was conferred with title of Chinese Top-100 Landscape Artist. His work won golden prize in the 2nd Construction Cup Calligraphy and Painting Contest of Henan Construction System. His landscape work Reading Soaked in Sound of Wind and Rain was selected for the 1st National Television Traditional Chinese Painting Contest. His work was selected for Online Exhibition of Excellent Works posted by China Artists’ Association and was displayed in Central Party School. His work won Second Prize in National Exhibition Week of Calligraphy and Painting Artists. Many of his works have been collected by many organizations including Xiling Print Company and Training Center of China Artists’ Association, and as well recorded into many painting volumes and dictionaries.
