Jiguang Cheng, male, Han nationality, born in Chongqing in 1956. Contemporary Capable oil painting artist, advanced calligraphy and painting artist. He’s academician of China Contemporary Classical Collection of Calligraphy and Painting Art Academe, vice chairman of China Famous Calligraphy and Painting Artists Academe, director of China Development Promotion Organization for Travel Painting School, art commissioner of China Art Academe, chairman of Yangtse River Travel Sketch Association, specially employed painter of Sichuan Oriental Painting Art Gallery, member of Chongqing Brance of China Artists’ Association, senior consultant of honor of Singapore New State Art Gallery, chief art director of Score Art Training Center, director of Jiulong Gallery. There years, he keeps on studying traditional western oil painting art with great concentration, and many of his excellent works participated in national, provincial and city-level art exhibitions, as well as calligraphy and painting contests at home and abroad, and won awards frequently. He has been conferred with honorable titles of World Celebrity of Calligraphy and Painting as well as International Artist with Silver Prize by many international art organizations together including Interation Artists’ Union. His works and biography was edited into many large scale painting volumes and dictionaries such as Chinese Artist Selected Collection, the 2nd National Minority Fine Art Works Collection, China Art Fair and Collection Directory and China Contemporary Blue Book. Many of his excellent works were collected by collectors at home and abroad.

1993  His work Morning Sun at Chuanjiang River entered the 1993 China Oil Painting Exhibition.
1994  His work Family Education won first prize in Chongqing Art Exhibition.
1994  His work Pastoral for Western Sichuan entered Sichuang Art Exhibition.
1995  His work Commander-in-chief Mr. Zhu won excellence award in Art Exhibition Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Anti-Japan War Victory.
1995  His work Root entered China Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition.
1995  His work Fortnightly Holiday won excellence award in National Works Exhibition of Employees.
1997  His work Sprouted Garlic entered the 2nd China Still-life Oil Painting Exhibition.
1999  His work Forester was edited into Contemporary Painting Art Volume and won excellence award.
1999  His work Lovely Soldier and Hope for Tomorrow entered the 9th National Art Exhibition.
2002  He was elected as Level-one Calligraphy and Painting Artist and Permanent Member by China Celebrity Culture Academe at Home and Abroad. As well he won golden prize of Exploition for International Culture and Art Exchange.
2002  His work Boatman at Xiajiang entered National Art Exhibition Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Lecture at Yan’an.
2003  His work Man at the West entered the 1st Chongqing Oil Painting Exhibition.
2004  His work Kangba Boy entered the 2nd National Minority Fine Art Exhibition and won bronze prize.
2004  He participated in International Art Fair Beijing, and won silver.
From 2004  He took on the position of Art Consultant for Chongqing Art Fair.
2004  His works Fishing Boat series(11 pieces in total) was published by Beijing Post Office as China Post Card -- Chinese Top-100 Talented Calligraphy and Painting Artists Cheng Jiguang Oil Painting Volume.
January 2006  His work Siguniang Mountain was displayed in the 1st China Fine Art Works Exhibition of Travel Painting School, and won golden prize.
November 2006  He was invited by China Chongqing Three-gorges Museum to set up Exhibition Hall of Famous Oil Painting Artist Cheng Jiguang.
