Shurong Lu, born in May 1977 in Zhangpu, Fujian Province--hometown of paper-cuts in China. She is now member of Oriental and Western Paper-cuts Artist Associate, China Folk Art Associate, China Farmer Calligraphy and Painting Associate, Fujiang Farmer Calligraphy and Painting Seminar and vice secretary-general of Zhangpu Paper-cuts Associate, Fujian.
2000 Her work 12 Chinese Zodiac Signs was edited into Artfully Cutted Animals-12 Chinese Zodiac Signs published by Fujian Fine Art Publishing;
2002 Her work Spring of Deer and Crane won bronze prize in the 1st China Folk Lucky Art Festival, Nanjing;
2003 Childhood as a Song was conferred with Excellent Work Prize in City Population Culture Art Circuit Exhibition in towns of Fujian Province;
2003 Her thesis Unearth Unique Style--Expanding Folk Art was edited into Paper-cuts Discussion Thesis Collection of Lin Tao;
2003 Her works Moonlight Song and Celebration for Longevity were won silver prizes seperately in National Paper-cuts Exhibition held for the 5th China Paper-cuts Art Festival;
2003 Her work Longevity won silver prize in Travel and Business Exhibition of the 5th Cross-straits Flower Fair, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province;
2003 Her thesis Talking About Training of Creation Capability in Paper-cuts Teaching won silver prize in the 5th National Paper-cuts Art Seminar and won the honor of China Both Virtue and Talent Prize of Paper-cuts;
2004 Four pieces of works including Longevity were collected as selected works perpetually in Fujian Art Museum;
2004 Longevity entered China Fujian Folk Art Exhibition and went to Cairo, Egypt for exhibition.
