Lina Lan, born in 1985, from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province of China, She nationality. In 1992, she was be converted to Buddhism with Mingda Monk with holy name Miaoli and another name Hostess of Night-blooming Cereus Nunnery. She entered China Artist Associate in 1990 and became a member. She is a professional painter in Beijing, and is good at oil painting, lacquer, traditional Chinese painting, etc. She held her individual exhibitions many times at areas such as China Historic Museum. Plus, she is the first female painter to hold individual lacquer painting exhibition of China and she has been interviewed many times by national leaders such as chairman Li Ruihuan. She was invited to paint for National Political Consultative Committee and participated in various commonweal activities. For tens of times, her works participated in national large scale art exhibitions, and works exhibitions held by other countries such as Japan, Soviet Russia, France, German, Singapore, Vietnam, and won many awards including golden prize, third prize and excellence prize. Most of her works were collected by collectors and national organizations including Zhongnanhai, National Political Consultative Committee, China National Museum, China Art Museum, etc. Works also have been recorded into significant great works such as Zhongnanhai Treasure Painting Collection, China Modern Art Collected Edition lacquer painting volume, China Modern Art Collective Edition lacquerwork volume, 20th Century China Art--Selective Collection of China Art Museum. Her traditional Chinese painting has a brushwork with elegance and peace; her modern traditional Chinese painting is casual and elegant with splashing ink and colors. As for her oil painting works, the brushwork is strong, flowery and dainty. Some of her lacquer painting works are colorful and others are in strong contrast of black and white, which are unbending, novel and modern. Rich themes, diversified art forms and various materials and texture are bring out the best to each other and each has its strong point, which forms a unique personal style making her works watched by collectors at home and abroad.
