Yide Lin was born in an old town of Zhangpu County of Fujian Province in Dec 1965.In 1988, he graduated from Ji Mei Teachers College which is named Ji Mei University today. At age 28, he went with the watercolor artist Mr Zheng Qimiao to Dong Shan Island to do drawing.

2001- taking part in the creation of the world longest silk painting (1000 meters long ) which was named “Flourishing Zhangzhou”
2002- his work “still life” was selected into the National Arts Works Exhibition for the 60th anniversary for the issue of the Mao Zedong`s Colloquia of Literature in Yanan
2003- his oil painting work Lucky Cloud was included in the Great Exhibition of Fujian Oil Painting
2004- His work The View of Fushui Shop entering into the Great Exhibition of Fujian Art as for the 55th anniversary for the foundation of China
    - awarded “Excellent Teacher” of Zhangpu County
2005- His oil painting The Lane won the first prize of the sill life in the 2nd Community Culture and Art Festival of Zhangzhou City
    -the work Old Ferry won the second prize of Zhangzhou Art.
    -Granted for “The Advanced Middle School Teacher”
